I think that giving your partner oral sex is the most intimate thing we can do with them. There is nothing closer or more personal. Sex fills all of the senses. There is obviously the sense of taste. A woman's juices change in taste and texture depending on the stage of her cycle. When you know someone well enough, you can even taste when she is ovulating. I don't think scientists have independently verified this - it would be a very interesting experiment to set up and get ethics approval for!

The sense of smell is so much more acute when you are using your tongue and nose to stimulate the clit and ass and everything in between. The muskiness after a workout or sex first thing in the morning to the fresh and austere smell after a shower. It is always a little different.

I don't know about you, but I love the sounds of sex. Not the porn movie voice over stuff but the moans and groans of ecstasy as well as the moist lapping sounds.

Touch here is complex. It is multifactorial. Touch is physical but also causes a wide range of sensations not only for the receiver but also for the 'donor'. Along with this, there is the sense of movement - how hard is it to enjoy sex with a motionless partner (see 'Lars and the Real Girl'. Finally, there is the sense of heat. When your face is buried in 'heaven on earth' the thermal energy that builds up between a woman's thighs could power a small village!

Last but by no means least, there is the sense of sight. There is something perhaps about the taboo of the vagina and buttocks that enhance what is surely the greatest achievement in the animal kingdom. Other parts of the body, we get to see far more frequently and they contribute to the overall package, but when it comes to sex, Nirvana lies between the thighs!
