The old maxim of nice guys finishing last seems to hold more truth in it than ever before.

Not that I can't understand the reasons for it. While I wont speak for all of us, I know I'm not as outgoing as most. I like things simple. Whether that's general living or just a lack of drama. That limits options, I get that, but on the same token, acting like someone I'm not just to attract attention seems equally distasteful.

Maybe it's just the time of year, but I can't help but look around and wonder. I don't do drugs, I drink but never to excess, generally kind and a firm believer in compromise. Have never struck a woman, never cheated, and value the little things more than I've seem most others yet I find myself still looking for someone to share life with while other guys who can't say the same seem to be the ones with someone.

Prehapes I'm missing something, but going by past relationships where I've been cheated on, lied too, and worse, I can't help but wonder. Is it just those people, or maybe things just don't work that way anymore.
