I have weathered a great storm, the sleet and hail have torn away at my disposition. Surviving on tinned meats and dry biscuits has only served to increase my hunger, but it is not roast or quail that will satisfy this salty dog. Nay have I seen a woman in many months nor known
comfort of any kind, I pray my enemies will delay till this great need is filled.
